My nephew is planning to attend college at Boca del Rio. ¿Where can we find information for foreign students?

He currently lives in Panama. We need details on cost of living, dorms, safety, etc.

What about the college where he si planning to come to? Can they help?

I don't think there's a campus with dorms in this city, the colleges are not american style. As for apartaments, a nice one can cost around US$500.00, with furniture about US$800.00  Food is cheap, buses cost US$0.50 and taxis start at US$3.00 a taxi from the airport to the city is about US$15.00 but he must have pesos with him, the exchange rate is around $10.70 today it varies everyday.

As for safety, he must be careful not to walk alone at night, not to look clueless; but in general it is a safe city to live in, many cars are parked on the streets at night without problems.
