I have a problem, my mozilla/ie browsers and my mozilla thunderbird mail are just not connecting with the internet. It says there is a network cable unplugged, but thats for the local area connection which apparently I'm not even using, I'm using the wireless network connection. What could it be, it just seemed to suddenly happen and turning the internet on and off which usually sorts things has not helped.

  1. If you're having trouble figuring out exactly where the bottleneck in your internet connection is coming from, have you heard of Pure Networks' Network Magic? You can learn more about it here:  http://www.networkmagic.com/product/netw...

Using the Network Map feature, it visually displays anything with an IP address sharing your Internet connection, making it easy to pinpoint where a wireless (or wired) connection problem is on your network - a big red "X" shows up where the problem is. You'll know when your Internet connection goes down and in many cases, Network Magic will automatically diagnose and fix most common network problems.
