Question:

My new Char-Broil Gas grill will not reach over 250 degrees. I'm pretty sure we have it on high.?

Does any one have any suggestions on what the problem could be?

  1. I bought a genesis silver c model(weber) and had this same problem..I called thier tech support and they told me that the newer bottles have the safety check vavlve  in them and are made to decrease in pressure if a sudden burst of propane shot through them too fast..She instructed me to go out cut the tank off at the k**b on the bottle wait 10 minutes..then go back out and turn the k**b on the bottle on but very slowly..and the internal valve wouldn't shut it down..hey serious it worked..I'm sure your grill isn't but a few steps from you..go try ..tell me if it worked...


  2. You got vapor lock in your tank, simply disconnect the tank from the grill and re connect, be sure to turn the tank off before you disconnect

  3. Could be a bad propane regulator from the factory.I am sure the tank is full.It has to be the regulator.
