Question:

My new TV becomes "hotter" at its two sides???

I have just bought a SanSui TV for $200 AUD in Adelaide. I plugged my Wii and play on this TV. After playing a while, the two sides of the screen (near the two speakers) start to change its color. I switched to an AV screen (a blue screen) and realized that these two regions have become pale pink (instead of BLUE as in AV screen). I turned off the Wii and the TV for a while (5 to 10 mins) and turn back on, check again, there are no such regions?!!

Why does that happen? Is that because the TV is faulty? Or it's because the Wii console?

I have just bought the Wii console and the TV today. If the TV is faulty, do you think i should refund or change a new one? I don't think that's the Wii's fault.

My TV is the Sansui TV, model: SAN0021S (the super slim version, it's not a Plasma or LCD).

Thanks for your help,

Cheers,

  1. that is caused by magnetism, something near the tv is putting out magnetic  signal casing it to distort.

do you have any thing else near the TV?? like home theatre speakers? they may not be magnetically shielded.

Because it’s a cheaper kind of tv it is much more susceptible to such magnetism, try moving stuff from around the tv to try and find the cause.

trial and error might be the way to go here to find the cause.

good luck! oh, it has nothing to do with the WII. its because the TV is a CRT.

if there is nothing around it, it could be a dodge tv. might be worth taking it back... the speakers in it should be sheilded so they shouldn't be doing it though.

i reckon you should take it back and change it over for a different one.
