Question:

My new TV has no earphone jack. Is there a way to adapt so as to listen on earphones.?

My flat screen tv does not have an earphone plug in. Is there any way that I can adapt with add ons to mute the tv sound and use earphones instead. The wife won't let me watch DVDs that are noisy!!

Please don't suggest getting rid of the wife.

  1. Are you sure no output jack????????????

    You have checked the front drop down panels yes??


  2. Its quite a simple job to wire up a headphone socket if your technically minded. ( but you will need to dismatle TV )

    Or you could try connecting up the headphones to the scart socket ( or av sockets ) it will work but may not be loud enough as the signal is a lower level.  

  3. You can find an rca/headphone jack adapter in most electronics stores, and hook it up to the tv.  

  4. Connect the Audio Out on your tv to an auxillary input on your Hifi system and plug headphones into that.
