Question:

My new bloke lost his erection when he put on a condom

I have a new boyfriend, and as yet we have not had s*x. We were messing about the other night and after lots of foreplay decided we wished to have s*x. We were both really aroused and ready, but as I'm not on the pill we had to use a condom. In the time it took for my bloke to put on the condom and penetrate me he had lost his erection. It was so frustrating! He says this just happens when he uses condoms.......how can this be? He wanted to go without but I refused.

Can condoms really cause a guy to lose his erection? If not what else could the problem be?

And any suggestions how to overcome this?

Thanks!

  1. Heya,

Yes it is absolutely possible. It is beleived ( maybe some men can back me up here calling men!) putting on a condom can make you loose sensation which makes you go soft on insertion its totally normal and the trick is keep trying it is going to be frustrating no doubt but you will get there in the end with your boyfriend i promise you. And the only suggestion i can give you is keep trying practice makes perfect. But i would definately say if hes struggling to keep an erection with a condom on he goes and sees his local GP so that GP can run some tests and analyise the problem and sus it out for you both.

Hope i helped - but what your describe is normal

    xx

  2. You need to keep him interested whilst fitting the condom. You put it on him and make sure you massage his p***s and nuts whilst you are doing it. One of the best ways is to suck him so that his p***s is moist and the condom slides on easier. That should float his boat.
