My new computer, Packard Bell Imedia 2414 didn't come with a reinstall disc. The O/S is Vista Home Premium?

Should it have come with a disc? If not, where do I find my licence key?

  1. Press F8 or F111 depending on the manufacture and select the restore option. There are 2 options; one to restore to an earlier point that has been stored by windows. This option will restore your computer to an earlier point without erasing any of your data. The other option will restore will PC to the factory settings and erase all the data you stored on your pc. Hope that helps


  2. Packard Bell new pcs come with a built in recovery on the hard drive.

    Whilst the pc is loading tap F8 and select the recovery option.

  3. You have to make a copy on CD by yourself. Now PCs are delivered without system CDs.  

  4. the license key is in the bottom of y our laptop if it's not laptop then it must be in top of the desktop or at the left or right of it just look around you will find a Microsoft log and all other details with serial number of OS

  5. you need to make a system recovery disc, you should have made the after you at up and running, Parker bell don;t come with a vista disc you have to make one i know because i have one ,  you will need one DVD to do this.

  6. Click Start

    Then Run.

    Type in 'regedit' (without quotation marks)

    Open HKEY LOCAL MACHINE

    Open SOFTWARE

    Open microsoft

    Open WIndows

    Open Current Version.

    About half way down that list, is your Product ID.
