My new fridge only has a 1-5 temperature control, what number has it got to be also on the freezer, its daewoo

its a Daewoo side by side fridge freezer and i dont want it getting too cold for my food to be damaged, my old fridge freezer had a temp control on it -18 etc all this one has is 1-5

Keep at 3.  Remember that the freezer side is more important because that is where the cold air for the fridge side comes from.

start at 21/2 on both and adj ust them till you are happy with the temps in both compartments 24 hrs between each adjustment is a good rule of thumb

Number 3 position (right in the middle) should be fine.  You can adjust it either way from there.
