  1. You can get magnetic strips at the Home Depot or wherever that are sticky on one side. This adheres to the surface and then holds fridge magnets to the magnetic strip. I used this method to hold a "Clean/Dirty" sign to the front of a non-magnetic dishwasher.

You can also use small pieces of painter's tape to hold things to the fridge. You just pull off a small piece, roll it together sticky side out, and use this to secure things to the fridge. I got a stainless steel fridge from a scratch and dent place, and needed to cover the little dings on the door with something. But, the front wasn't magnetic and wouldn't hold fridge magnets (might actually be brushed aluminum or something). And, I used that tape method to attach fridge magnets over the dings on the door.

  2. your oven probably has part of it that's magnetic. try that.

  3. That's strange.  They do sell magnetic paint.. not sure if you would want to paint the front of your fridge though. You can get some @ target.com

  4. There is a galvanized steel sheeting used for forming air ducting (air conditioning / hot air heating use) that would be great for magnets. Buy some, cut it to size using tin snips, paint it to suit, then stick it to the fridge with double sided tape.

  5. Two products come to mind:
