Question:

My new iPod nano won't turn on?

Wow this is strange. I was listening to the new iPod Nano (3rd gen) I just got. (got it less than 1 and a half weeks ago) and then i decided to turn it off. (I flipped the hold button)

When I tried turning it on again, it won't turn on at all! It didn't work even after I flip the hold button again! I tried resetting by following the instructions on Apple but to no avail.

I also tried to plug the nano into my computer as well as the usb adaptor. Nothing. Yeah, I never dropped my iPod. It's pretty much brand new.

Any suggestions? Solutions?

  1. take it backk and get a new onee

  2. Try plugging it in for 24hours and not

touching it. Just let it sit there. And check

it in the morning. It has happened to me

before too. That's what I did and it worked

    the next day. (:

  3. if you switch the hold button on and off about 3-5 times then press play...it should turn on unless it's like extremely dead. You can even try plugging it into a Ipod wall charger (if you have one) to make sure it isn't dead.

    Hope that helps....

  4. plug it in the computer and DONT yank the cord out if you do your ipod could mess up more or take it to the store and return it or ask the people you brought it from whats wrong

  5. try just leaving it somewhere (out of the sun) and just leave it there for like 2 or 3 days and let it die. then put it back ont othe charger and let it change. then try and turn it on again if it doesnt work call Apple or send it back and ask for a new one

  6. Try charging it. And sometimes my ipod freezes on me and you just have to let it run out of battery.

  7. since u bought it less than 2 weeks........u can always make use of the warrenty period......take it back to the place from where u bought it......tc

  8. Charge it or if that doesn't work send it back to apply and they might replace it probably.

  9. Try Resetting it:

Hold the Middle button and the menu button at the same time and the apple logo should appear. Soon after that appears your stuff should come up.

    Hope that helps!

  10. ermm maybe you could charge it on a speaker instead of your computer...or take it back as it should still be in guarantee

  11. Could be a defective battery... I'd go with the others and take it back to an Apple Store or where ever you bought it and get a replacement.

  12. It should NOT be doing this if its new like that. It should have a 1 year warranty so take it back and get a different one. you shouldnt be having these problems so early one, you paid for it to work and you deserve to get your money back.

  13. At this point probably the best thing to do is go on the Support part of the Apple website. There's probably something for "My iPod Nano will not turn on." If that doesn't help, call Apple support.

  14. Smash it buy a new one! then you won`t have any problems will you?
