My new job isn't exactly related to my course?

Less than 50% of my new job is somewhat related to my creatives course, but the rest of my responsibilities are all so technical to me! My superior understands my situation (thankfully) and tries to give out my assignments little by little. But I don't want to be a burden for too long, for she herself is very busy. How can I keep up with my company's pace as quickly as possible?

Frequently, the case is you went to school and graduated with a degree in one field, but work in another and sometimes it's not related much to your degree at all. If it bothers you that you cannot be more creative at this technology driven employer, simply find another job.
