My new kitten is a little scared of people? How can I get her comfortable?

she's ok when you pet her and she eventually falls asleep on ur lap. But she runs away when you try and pick her up or play with her. And she wont come to you... what can I do?

she is not scared she is just tired of being picked up and played with all the time. Let her come to you when she wants to be pet or if she wants to play the more you leave her alone the more she will want to be with you.

if shes new then shes probably freaked out to start with so let her get use to her new environment! slowly try to play with her and pet her and love on her. get on the floor on her level so you  dont seam as big and scary to her! also always have treats on hand so she knows you just want to love on her!

It depends on how you approach the kitten - do you come directly at it quickly or approach slowly?  Kittens are usually a little anxious around new people and new situations - they haven't learned to "roll with the punches" as the saying goes - like older cats.  Give her time, let her approach the person, not the other way.  Give it time, and a lot of patience.

the more shes around people, the more shell be comfortable. handle her alot. shell start to know her name eventually, but its always a wats-in-it-for-me. she wont respond if she simply doesnt care. if u have a small family she will probably never get used to ppl. ther are 5 ppl in my family and my cat is so friendly and loves ppl and comes when hes called.

WELL.SHE WILL PROBLY GER USED TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!..IT IS A NEW ENVOR MENT AND SHE ISNT USED TO IT YET!..EVERYTIME SHE COMES TO YOU GIVE HER A TREAT!
