My new rat won't stop sneezing?

I just bought a rat today and as soon as i brought him home and put him in the cage he started sneezing a lot. Once in a while he'll stop sneezing but he always starts back up again. I called the PetSmart I got him from and asked them what bedding they were using and they said pine. I've heard bad things about using pine so I have aspen in his cage. The rat was only at PetSmart for 3 days, is this enough time for him to develop respitory problems?

I want to help him but I don't know what kind of vet to take him to and I really can't afford an expensive vet bill for him.

Is there anything I can do to help him or should I just try to take him back to PetSmart and get another from an actual breeder?

My hamster has the same problem but i took everything out of his cage leaving him with nothing except for a cardboard box , he's still sneezing what should i do?
