Her ears are dark, she has turned a little dark but she's more like a carmel complexion. will she get as dark as her ears.. Or could her ears be a little dark because she still has newborn hair around them..

I know a lot of people say with african american babies, they usually will be whatever skin complexion they ears are at birth.. She is 2 1/2 wks. now. the the tip of her ear where the piercing goes (ear lobes) are light like her face, the rest of the ear is dark..

  1. your baby will darken, but I would not worry about it too much.  As she is exposed to the sun she will darken.  But do not be color struck or worried about your childs color.  As long as she is healthy that is all that matters.

  2. All African-American babies are born much lighter than they will become - mother nature!  In time, I am sure she will be even more beautiful - congrats.

  3. What does it matter. Its still your baby. You of all people shouldn't care how the skin looks. I wouldn't care if our upcoming baby had darker than expected or lighter than expected skin. As long as its healthy.

  4. It will be approx 6 weeks before the child (God Bless her) will darken to the color of her parents.

Please don't worry, just relax and enjoy the beautiful gift from God, and Good Luck :)
