My next Warhammer 40,000 army ?

Question

I have done Space Marines (my own chapter) and Tau and want a new army. I am looking for an army that looks great,is not used by everyone but easy to play with. Suggest Away.

P.S I was thinking about Eldar, Orks or possibly Chaos but do not know which to go for or even that any of these are good choices

Since you already have 2 "good" armies I would choose something that is considered a bad guy.  That way if you can play with friends without them even having to own an army.

Orks are a TON of painting because they are only really good as a horde army.  Personally I like Chaos because they are pretty easy to paint and look really great.  Plus they have some seriously hard units.  Chaos Terminators can be tooled up as the most insanely tough foot unit in the game.  And deamon princes are point for point possibly the best HQ in the universe.

Looks great, isn't common and is easy to play with?  There's only one answer: Necrons.

The simple army list - no champions and limited wargear - combined with the high Leadership and "We'll Be Back" special rule makes the army very forgiving.  The army can look awesome without needing a highly-complex paintjob and is remarkably under-represented.

That said, you might want to keep your eyes out for the new Dark Eldar codex.  There'll be more players of DE once it's released, but the new codex should be a lot of fun!

Well, Chaos are awesome, I must say. But the lack the sufficient Dakka to fight.

You need more dakka, and paint 'em red.

I like Orks for they are fun to play and you can make them any way you really want. But I wouldn't say they are a serious choice unless you are going to spend hours painting them, even then, as someone else said, they are only good as a HORDE army...

If you are looking for an easy to play, quick to paint army, do Chaos. depends on personal choice.
