  1. THough "ANDIE"'s response is very good, as far as getting her student visa, she will need to have applied and pre-paid for her school. The school will then issue her a "Sevis I-20" form which she will take to the US Embassy and present along with her valid passport and proof of funds and ties to mother country to have a student "F1" non immigrant visa issued to her.  Hope all this info helps

  2. 1. Your niece would need to decide what state she would like to go to school in, then apply.

    2. She will need to make copies of her passport whether she is in the US or Morrocco for proof of identifiication.

    3. She will need to provide highschool, or college transcripts which must be original and sealed in an enevelope. She will also need a bank letter from her bank with the required amount as requested from immigration and the school she plans to attend.

    4. She will need to have her transcripts, certificates or whatever the school requires translated or evaluated from a qualified US translator. She will also need to have passing TOEFL scores.

    5. She will need a sponsor who will provide for her for the duration of her studies.

    6. The school may require other documentation. Every school has different requirements however, the bank letter is universal and every school requires that.

    7. When the school accepts her, she will receive an 1-20 and possibly another immigration form from the school.

    8. Once the I-20 is mailed to her, she will make an appointment with the US embassy to appy for an F-1 visa. She will have to pay a $100 sevis fee if this fee is still applicable. They will interview her. When the interview is complete, they will make their decision right there as to whether she is allowed to come to the US and study or not.

It seems like a long process but it's really not that hard. The only problem a  lot of people have is providing the bank letter with the sufficient funding. Rarely does anyone have $20 or $30,000 in their bank account.

Note:::She will need to prove she has permanent ties to her home country such as an address, financial statements etc.....

    I hope this helps

  3. cool, bring some Hachis!

  4. I studied 1 year in te US and then I came to London to finish my studies off but I am well informed about that process as I did it myself. First, what subject does she want to study, if it is law or medicine it is only studied as graduate school in the US (that was my case). She has to give the SAT 1, some unis will ask for the SAT2, but those are very competitive unis, usually a SAT1 will be enough. SHe will have to pass the TOEFL as well to proof her english is good enough. Then she will have to send all her transcsripts to the university, after she gives the SAT1 and the uni agrees she will receive a form in order to apply for her student visa, she wil need to proof she has at least to cover the first year of her studies (this includes room, board, tuiton and some expenses), back then my uni was $20 000, my dad showed that, but I had a $5000 scholarship granted from the uni as well.

This is pretty much it.  Best of lucks.

  5. She needs to apply to an American college or university as an international student.  If she gets accepted, the international student office will help her get her student visa.
