I got a night guard after grinding my teeth at night.

But since I got it,

I spit it out at night and don notice still I wake up.

And when I put it back in,

I go back to sleep.

But when I wake up again,

My teeth are sore as h**l.

Is this normal?

Can my teeth still break?

  1. The reason why your teeth are sore in the morning is because your night guard resembles a retainer, one made exactly from your bite and position of all your teeth. When you eat during the day your teeth move like everyone else's and when you put those night guards in it also corrects your bite from the slight movements during the day or your grinding at night. Almost like braces or invisiline. Your teeth can still chip if you continue to pull them out at night so try not to do so. Good luck!
