110v versus 120v nightlight bulb and does it matter or cause any fire/safety risk for this difference in voltage? Thank you!

  1. The voltage in your house is probably closer to 120 than 110.  Any bulb that is rated at either voltage will work just fine in your nightlight.  The 4W bulb will be dimmer than the 5W bulb but will still work fine as a nightlight.

  2. Not at all.  It may not be quite as bright but shouldn't be noticeable.  Besides, it will cost you less to operate since it uses less electricity.

  3. no difference, but you should also be able to find a 7 watt bulb if you prefer it to be brighter.

  4. only matters to the electric company - every extra cent counts to them!!!

  5. The 110 vs 120 volts is not an issue; in fact the voltage is in that range (110 - 120).

A 4 watt bulb is slightly dimmer and use slightly less energy but it will perform suitably.

  6. it doesnt make a difference
