and I was told by a friend that this could stunt her growth. She doesn't drink it everyday, more like once or twice every two weeks. However, when she drinks it she drinks a lot, a big cup full and then another a few hours later. Should I purchase decaf instead or is this ok, as long as she doesn't overdo it.

  1. I think once or twice a weeks is ok, but becareful so that she would not get addicted to it, I have been a coffee addict and now it really isnt good at all, I got a coffeine rush last week which alarmed me of my coffein adiction, maybe if you put her into decaf it would be much better, future wise

  2. :) i would swap to decaf.. it's just healthier for a young girl :)

  3. Decaf  would probally be better. it would have way less caffine. My nephew drank it when he was a kid& he is now 6 foot tall.

  4. I'll drink coffee 5 times a day,im addicted to that though im not addicted to cigar, wine etc.,

  5. Coffee doesn't really stunt your growth.  If the caffeine seems to be making her restless switch to decaf.

  6. It won't stunt her growth, but I recommend sticking with decaf and as she gets older, you could start adding a little of the regular. I started drinking coffee at age five and now, 20 years later, I have to maintain a certain level of energy drinks/coffee etc or I get sick (it's known as caffein withdrawl and has flu like symptoms).

  7. Regular is ok.

the "coffee will stunt your growth" is not true

i've been drinking coffee since i was four years old..and i'm 5'6" now...so let her drink as much as she wants.
