My nine year old stepson thinks his mom will beat people up.?

He will say things like she will bust someonesnose or make them bleed or is real mean and fights people. I know his mother talks the talk, but presented to her I have never seen her walk the walk. It is getting old,what should I say? Nothing? He says things to my kids, we all know better,so should we let it go? Or should I try to explain to him that she is really not that mean?

I think your husband should be the one to say something here. But you can have a discussion about what is acceptable talk and behavior in your house and what is not.

Tell him "no your mom will not, and I dont want to hear you talking bad about your mom anymore." I hope this helped.

You can speak to him about the things he says to your children ... just ask him not to talk about things like that around his brothers and sisters. I wouldn't suggest saying anything about his mother though ... if he's saying these things in your presence i would think that his mother is just waiting for you to open your mouth about what she won't do, children only repeat what they are told.

He is just exercising his right to be a "blowhard".  A lot of boys go through that at this age...prepuberty.  However most of them talk about their dad's beating people up rather than their mother's.  Let it go, you all know what is the truth, let him have his self made moment in the sun.  He will outgrow it.

My mom raised 3 step children (my half-brother & 2 half-sisters).  They used to do the same thing.  My dad told them that they had to stop saying those things.  They would disrepect my mom & tell her that their mom would beat her up.

I don't know the situation of your living environment, however, a family discussion may need to happen (minus the kids).  Or have his father talk to him.

I agree with the other comment....kids only repeat what they hear.
