My nipple is inverted, should i be worried?

I'm a 16 year old guy and ive always had inverted nipples. They only become erect when its cold. Ive been hearing lately that this is a sign of breast cancer, im just not sure what to think as ive had them all my life.

Inverted nipples is not the only sign otherwise there would be an awful lot of cases of breast cancer in men.  It's a genetic thing, and there needs to be other factors at play to be concerned about cancer.

relax, it's ok. breast cancer is only common in this area with women. but that must be bad. once you grow, and your hormones start acting up-you'll get them the right way...

Mine are pretty much flat....and 'perk up' when excited or it's dang cold.......does flat equate inverted?

It's normal. My ex boyfriend had one inverted nipple, and no that is not why we broke up. Truth is that I rarely noticed it...It's not a big deal

You're normal.  I know someone who has had inverted nipples, he's male, and they come out when cold too.  It is very normal and I have heard of this before.

if it's a sign of breast cancer the hospitals would be overrun inverted nipples are relatively normal even more for males because males don't breastfeed

No need to be worried. This is not a sign of breast cancer; it is just the way you are. The only reason to worry would be if you planned to breast feed, as inverted nipples make it more painful and difficult. But since you are male, you have nothing to be concerned about.

Nothing wrong with inverted nipples - they are more common than is realised.  And don't worry about "breast cancer" that is an old wives tale and holds no truth at all.

yeah, they are perfectly normal in some people. If your worried about maybe having breast cancer check for lumps of go and see a doctor, its not anything to be particularly embarrased about becuase its natural in some peoplethe only time you need to worry is if you ever need to breast feed, which I expect is highly unlikely lol:)

If you've heard they may be a sign of breast cancer, maybe you should go to your doctor and have them take a look just to be certain. If there is no pain or anything that goes along with it, it may be nothing, but it would still be a good idea to get checked out.

Since you say that you have always had inverted nipples, I wouldn't worry. It is a sign of breast cancer, however, we are talking about people who have experienced a change from a "normal" nipple to an "inverted" nipple.  This is normal for you.  You can always talk to your doctor just to  quite your worries.

the only time anyone needs to worry is when its a women and she wants to breast feed her baby
