I got my nose piercing 3 days ago.

I've been cleaning it very well with the spray, and cleaning it with a wet, sterile cotton bud like, 3 times a day, with a spray of the antiseptic spray on the end of the cotton bud.

Am i cleaning it right? Have you got any tips?

Im not taking asprin cause its a blood thinner, and im not taking any other painkillers at all cause i dont fin the need to.

How long will it take to stop hurting so much?

How long will it take to stop hurting 100%?

I keep getting the vision of me pulling the stud downwards towards my mouth, and the metal part rubbing on the cartiledge :O

This is freaking me out.

Please tell me about your piercing after you got it done

Xx

  2. quit cleanin it so much ur just gonna iritate it

once in the mornin and once at night is fine

i got my nose pierced and i cleaned it like that and it was fine

it should stop hurtin after a few weeks if you dont play with it

  3. It sounds like you're cleaning it fine. Try also using a salt solution - 1/4 of a teaspoon of sea or rock salt to 8 ounces of cool boiled water.

It all depends on your own body on how long it'll take to stop hurting. In general, after about 2 weeks most/all pain and discomfort will have gone (unless you keep playing with your piercing) and after 6 weeks, the initial healing period will be over, so you shouldn't feel any pain at all. It takes up to 6 months for a piercing to completely heal though.

I'm not sure I understand about your 'vision'...but as long as you don't pull your nose stud towards your mouth I'm sure you'll be fine.

  4. I'm not sure what this antiseptic spray is that you are using...sounds kinda scary :S

In the beginning, I used a liquid castile soap (from the piercing studio) to clean around my stud, but eventually settled into a routine of sea salt soaks twice a day, as I didn't want to risk not washing all the soap out of the wound (it probably would have been fine, I was just paranoid). Sea salt soaks are awesome for piercings. You can also try soaking a chamomile tea bag in warm water (as warm as you can manage without being too hot) and hold on the piercing for a while; it helps with the healing process.

Be careful not to clean it too much or you will dry it out.

I had the most pain on the first day, it felt like a massive headache was coming on, so I took a painkiller right away. But the next day it was just a little sore, especially when I scrunched up my nose (didn't realize I did it so often until I got it pierced lol). To stop hurting completely was probably a week or two.
