  1. my ginny was 10,when it gets quite thin get another ginny 2 extend it's life and keep it company!

  2. WOWEE!! i suppose thats about how old they get.

  3. about 10 yrs but if it is a dominate it will be around 13 yrs :-)

  4. Most will only live to 5 - 7, but you always get a guinea pig that lives ages.So its not normal, but i wouldnt worry... go guinea pigs !!

  5. Nine years old is definitely a senior and a testament to your great care and love!

With proper diet, housing, and vet care, piggies can and sometimes do live to 10 years old.

I'm sure you know by now the average life span of a piggie is 5-7 years, but there is a report of a piggie in the UK that lived to 14!

Congratulations on being such a great pet owner! I hope you enjoy the time you have left with your sweet piggie. Who knows? Maybe *your* piggie will be the next Guiness record holder!  :)

  6. I have read that they live 5-8 or 5-10 years, although a vet mentioned that they can live up to 12 years (although this is in exceptional cases)

It seems that 10 Guinea Pig years = 1 human year (approximately)

  7. the normal age they grow up to be is 8 but since your is 9 that probably means you have a lucky guinea!

    hope this helps:D
