My old swim trunks are a little tight and make my crotch area noticeable is there anything I can do?

There is a bulge there. Is there anything I can do other than buying new swim trunks to make them look and feel normal. Or will the bulge just get smaller in the pool because of the cold water.

Many people find a bulge really s**y, so it might be best just to flaunt it and enjoy the attention. But if you really want to make your bulge less visible (but you don't intend to buy new trunks), you could try positioning your bits differently in your trunks. The bulge should also get slightly smaller in the water, yes. I don't think it would be worth the effort to make adjustments to the existing trunks, however, as you'd need some similar fabric and it would be quite tricky.

In any case, brief, close-fitting trunks are by far the most practical: they don't cause drag or inhibit movement, so they're far easier to swim in; they don't pull off by accident; they dry far more quickly; they're more comfortable; and they give a better tan.
