  1. Try just a little bit of apple juice not alot maybe the first line on the bottle if that dont work take him or her to the doctor because its not regular for any person to have a bowel movement in three days baby or grown up

  2. Try giving you baby some warm boiled water with some sugar in it this worked really well for my daughter or...

Warm boiled water (cut and orange) and squeeze the orange into the water...Both worked well for my daughter as she had bowel problems too...

Hope this helps!! (if not make an appointment at your doctors for her and they could suggest something that would work better or give you something to help her bowels move)

  3. We had this problem when my baby was about that age or so.  The pedi said to do half water and half pear juice.  It's not as hard on the tummy as prune or apple juice.  You can find it with the baby food section in the Gerber juices.

  4. You could try a little prune juice in with breast milk or formula.

  5. that depends.  is your baby breastfed or formula fed?  if it's formula, look for a low iron formula,.  most stores do not sell it, but you can get it on the CVS website.  my son went through this when we started giving him formula during the night because i was too exhausted to nurse.  as soon as we started, he stopped pooping.  when i called the doc he said it was perfectly fine...but i couldn't watch my poor baby cry in pain every time he tried to push because he was so constipated!  here are things i tried that helped until i found the right formula: gas drops, rectal temp (to stimulate), soak in warm water (relaxes muscles), plum juice (works like preune juice, but sweeter...son spit out prune), apple juice, and when all else failed, i gave him half of an infant suppository.  he was cleared out in 5 minutes!

  6. my daughters doctor told me to use Karo Syrup..

    it definatly helps !!

  7. Is your baby breast fed? If so, it is perfectly normal. if the baby is playing and eating well. With breast milk, which is highly digestible, there is little wastage, so there will be times when your baby will not have a bowel movement for days. Be prepared for a big one when it comes.

Whether formula or breast fed, its best to see the doc if your baby appears to be in pain. Trust your instincts!

  8. 1 oz of apple juice and 1 oz of water mixed together worked wonders for my now 3 1/2 month old son

  9. if he is breast fed, this is fine, as breast milk is perfect for them so no need to p**p. if formula fed try give a little water, and make sure milk is being mixed correctly.
