  1. Prune juice works like a charm for my son. Did you give her enough?

Get some baby oil and massage her belly clockwise putting a little bit of pressure on her tummy to help loosen things up.

    Good luck!

  2. Difficult time when baby is constipated and nothing seems to work, you are probably tired enough - after feeding and burping, gently rub baby's tummy in circular motions for a few minutes, exercise her legs as if she were trying to ride a bicycle, a warm compress on the belly might help too. Then there's always a little apple juice diluted with water.

  3. take a small piece of barsoap and wet it so it becomes pliable. roll it into a small ball. coat it with vaseline and put it just inside the babies r****m. you might have to hold her legs together to keep it inside but it will irritate the bowel and make her p**p.

  4. mix some apple juice with the formula

take a small chip off of a bar of soap and stick it up there baby will push it out

prune juice sends you to the bathroom but it also gives you gas

  5. If she is totally breastfed with no supplements, it is not unusual to not go in three days.  If she is being supplemented with formula or taking infant vitamins, make sure she is not taking any iron.  That can tie a baby up and iron is unnecessary for breastfed babies.

  6. eat lots and lots of fruit- clemintines work. i would go to another doctor too because i know they can give you more of an answer than that

  7. BABY APPLE JUICE AND WATER..AN OUNCE EACH

  8. Karo syrup works, 1 oz syrup to 1 oz formula. Also you can take their tempature, put extra vasoline on the tip, before putting in the bum. A warm tub and water on the tubby. But when my son was only a month he could go up to five days, between BM's, formula babies tend to go every 3-5 days for the first two months. And don't stress, we ALL go thru this as parents.  Best of luck.

  9. I cant wait until school goes back in, the immature answers are getting to me.

I'd use the baby apple juice as well, not much 1 oz.

Put her legs up by her shoulders and pump them like when you ride a bicycle. This should help get out some gas.

Other than that, my son was known to go more than 5 days without a p**p, eventually nature will work.

  10. baby food plums or some apple sauce, and plenty of water.

  11. As above, try the soap suppository - just cut a thinnish sliver or tiny nugget, and apply plenty of lube.

Guarantee it'll make her do a smelly in 5-15 minutes!

  12. My son was constipated at that age too and the pediatrician told me to use karo syrup 2 teaspoons per 2oz 2 times a day until she is fine.

  13. You didn't mention if you baby is breastfed or formula fed.  Constipation is common in formula fed babies.  If you baby is exclusively breastfed, she should absolutly not be constipated.  Call your doctor again.  Otherwise you should follow your doctors directions only.  Such young babies can't digest or tolerate much besides breastmilk or formula.  To keep trying to give her lots of different things risks allergic reactions and then constipation will be the least of your worries.

    edit:

Yea!  good for you breastfeeding mommy and baby!
