i would say that the curtains should be either a darker shade of red or a gold because those colours would go well together but you should definitely go with the darker shade of red.

if the window is on the ivory walls go red with the curtains, if the window is on the red wall go ivory or you could even have red and ivory , if you like flowers, or stripes it's totally up to you ,

Nothing but gold could offset those two colors together --

of course, you could do almost anything that isn't orange or pink or white, and call it ok as long as it didn't clash . . .

For the red wall, you can put light pink curtains and for the cream ones, you can put dark beige.

It depends.  If the curtains are going on window set into the cream walls, I would buy them red - actually I would get them red even if the windows were on the red wall (just a different / softer shade of red if on the red wall),

You could consider either light brown or dark brown curtains. Brown is a good neutral color.

IBlack would give a striking effect but if you wanted a softer look a stripe using both colours would go well

I would definitely buy black curtains, with some tint of gold in it. (Like a gold flower etc) I would buy long curtains to keep the warm in and to mae the room look bigger (the ceilings look taller)

If you go with red, that's a mistake because you already have red on the walls.  Black is cossy and it's great for bright summer days!
