My online order requires a signature on delievery? can I pre-sign so I dont have to sign in person?

I didn't know until afterwards that an order I purchased online from best buy will need a signature on delivery. I won't be home as I'll be at work. Is there some way you can pre-sign and leave a form or such so I don't have to be home for delivery?

I am afraid there is no way you can pre-sign. If the courier company delivers it to the WRONG address after you pre-sign, then you are the one in trouble. The best thing to do is call the courier (shipping) company and ask them to hold it at their nearest store to your house. Go there anything, even on a weekend, and pick it up yourself. Oh, just make sure you have the tracking number and your proof of ID when you going to pick it up

Sometimes you can also contact the delivery people and have it re-shipped to your work address (if your employer allows it!).  Then you just have to walk across the building when they show up on their regular route.  Since the deliver folks usually have some business to attend to while they're there, they should call you first when they arrive, do their thing, and by the time they're done you'll be there to sign the form.

Not what you want to do with the 50 in plasma, though...
