Question:

My oral board interview from h**l?

I had an oral board interview with a police department this week and it was very formal and structured. I did fine answering the questions leading up to question # 9 out of 10. I started feeling light headed and was close to passing out (first time this has happened). I apologized after getting a drink of water and did fine answering the other 2 questions.

Right as I was leaving the police department to go home, I got a ticket from the SAME DEPARTMENT for not wearing a seat-belt.

What are my chances after this embarrassing oral board interview?

  1. Your chances are good. But why would you not have your seat belt on do you think that you are already above the law.

The state that I live in you are suppose to put your seat belt on before you start your car.

  2. lol... oh man, whatta day for you!!

Seriously though (depending on just how fast you were going), you should be alright. Don't be surprised if you get a few extra cruiser training hours though ;-)

An old friend of mine did a similar thing, he was transfering stations, about 2 hours away from his previous one. He was running late his first day at the new station (he was moving there, but still living at his old house and packing) well anyway he was running late, so he floors it.... right by a cop. lol he got pulled over and ticketed.... guess he needed just a little more time to make friends, lol.

it was fine though, they teased him a while over it, kinda broke the ice and made his transition a bit easier..
