My orange Berlin doesn't recognise the micro SD card?

I have recently bought an orange berlin, and inserted the micro sd card from my old phone correctly.However the phone does not seem to recognise it as none of the music, pics etc show up. Also it won't let me update my music player from the memory card. When I connect the phone to my computer in USB mode (which uses the card), my computer won't open "My Computer" and just freezes. There is nothing wrong with the card as it worked perfectly well in my old phone, and my orange Berlin definitelyy uses micro SD cards. What should I do?

Hi there what you need to do is format the sd card to the phone if this doesnt work even though it may be a sd card what phone was the sd card in ? i.e was it a sony ericsson ? when i was looking at a new phone in the orange shop i asked if my sd card from my sony ericsson would go straight into the phone & i was told that although it was an sd card it wouldnt be compatible with the phone i was looking at because the sd card i had was solely for a sony ericsson ! go back to the store & ask there advice it may mean that you may need to get a new sd card for your new phone ..... hope this helps

Is it possible for you to download card onto your pc,then format the card in the phone. Then put all the stuff back on the card via the phone.

Give orange a call as it might be a problem with your phone. You could go down to your local mobile phone shop and see if they know anything about. Good luck and i hope this helps.
