My orchid plant is broken?

My cat knocked my phalaenopsis orchid off the dresser, and it fell and bent the stem right below where the blooms are... The blooms were dropping anyways.. but I know you can cut off the stem or something to help.. What should I do??

cut it down, fertilize well, and mulch.

You may keep the blooms in water in a vase or flowerpot.  The plant you can save by putting back to the normal in covered with moss and regular watering, It will sprout again,
