My orthodontist told me to stop wearing rubberbands on my braces. Does that mean anything? I've worn braces for awhile now, and I've also worn bands for the past year. I'm just curious to what the ortho is planning on doing. o.o

  1. when i had braces on, i didn't use those rubber bands, but i had a friend who had braces on for 3 years, and a month before she took em off he asked her to stop wearing the rubber bands..

Sooooooooo maybe that means he's planning to take em off soon :D :D

  2. It probably means that your bite (either an over or under bite) is where its supposed to be. Your bite is now positioned correctly.

  3. It just means that whatever the rubberbands were doing they've done their job! yay, one step closer to getting you're braces off.
