My outboard has fuel coming out of the carbs. I had it started yesterday and then tilted it up into the travel position. When I brought it back down today to check it again some fuel had leaked out of the carbs and the engine won't fire. It turns over but won't ignite. Did I flood the engine and what can be causing these problems?

  1. the carb thing is normal, you probably did not flood, however no spark is your problem, that could be a ton of things.

  2. floats sometimes stick and it causes that..just a thought.

spark??  well, before you tear into something take a look at all of your connections I guess.

  3. thats normal the carbs are mounted sideways thats called a sidedraft

put the motor down  prime the bulb    if its a mercury  push the key in and turn it   the motor should start

you might have flooded the engine
