THey are on the same breaker as my garage and the ones in my garage work. Why won't my outdoor ones work? How do I fix it?

  1. There should be 2 buttons between the plugs on the outside outlet, one marked test, the other reset.  You probably just need to push the reset to get them to work.  I usually push the test first, the reset pops out a little & then push the reset in.  It is kind of hard to do unless you have strong nails.

  2. Check your bathroom for a GFCI outlet. The outdoor ones are usually piggy backed off that one. You'll see a 'test' button and a 'reset' button on the GFCI outlet. Push the reset and then check the outdoor outlets.

  3. Try pushing the test or reset button on the gfci and see if that works. If not they probably need replaced.

  4. You need to replace the GFCI outlet in the garage.  The GFCI has two part the "line" which is the wire coming in from your panel and the "load" the wire going to your outside outlet. Sometime the inside of the GFCI goes bad and does not feed power to you load. If you replace the GFCI the outside outlet should come back on
