my oven is stuck i recently cleaned my oven and i guess some grease fell at the bottom and now the bottom door wont open what can i use to remove the grease so that the door can open i tried greased lighting and it doesnt work

  1. Squeeze or spray very hot white vinegar into the space where grease has accumulated. Allow it to sit a few minutes then start trying to open it again. The vinegar should start breaking down the grease molecules.

    You could also try spraying the area with Castrol Purple Degreaser or Simple Green (both from the automotive department) as they are both made to remove grease safely without harsh fumes.


  2. Is this a self cleaning oven. If it is it won't open until it cools down.

  3. if this is the type with storage in the bottom something may be crooked in it. If it is a gas oven you can remove the bottom inside the oven, under the racks to correct this. If this isn't the problem the door is out of the track. Grease will not prevent you from opening it.
