  1. Buy a new bottom Heating element

  2. i understand your problem under the bottom of your stove there is a safety device that use electrical power to cause your oven to light up. what that device do is send power to a heating element to heat the safety switch to open the gas valve so that your oven comes on for you to use. change this part see e-mail ttp://www.appliancepartspros.com/Applian...

  3. Sounds like the switch went bad. If you have an elect. tester test the switch

  4. could be that the element went bad or the switch could be bad...most single k**b thermostats that control both bake and broil can have the bake part of the switch go bad even if the broil part keeps working...it could even be possible that one of the wires burnt off where they connect to the heating element.

  5. If electrick replace lower element... purchase frome sears or marcone(cheaper)

    if gas replace igniter coil

  6. If the Broiler (upper element) works but it wont Bake then I say your lower element is burned out.

Contact Kenmore and have them send you a new element.
