me and my dog was playing around the yard, she starts biting me, but she thinks it playing., usually its just grazing, but this time it was like this. she bit my arm between the shoulder and elbow. i was wearing a jumper then took it off and saw a 5mm red line, i put dettol on it and it bled out so the skin did break. she was vaccinated 6 days ago, her first vaccination ever. so the question is what else would i have to do? will i have to have needle/vaccination? the bite bleeding at first but the blood didnt leak out till i put the sanitizer on. shes a 9 - 10 week old puppy

  1. you probably don't need a vaccination. although she caused bleeding it sounds like her mouth never touched your skin (depends how thick your jumper was)

but if your dog doesn't know the difference between play fighting and biting, and can cause damage at 10 weeks old, she needs some training. at the very least, don't play fight with her, let her know that biting you is always unacceptable.

  2. You must tell her off and put her outside when she does and say it like you mean it otherwise she'll ignore you and keep doing. You don't have to be mean just firm with her.

  3. Bad, Bad dogie.

Don't worry. You'll be just fine. Lucky it was a dog. Not a cat, human or monkey. Than you'll be in trouble.

  4. go to the doctor and get it checked out- just to b safe. as for your dog, make sure u tell her off and allow her to see that biting is not right.

  5. This is called vaccinosis - basically the vaccine has poisoned your dog to a degree.  The bahavior exhibited by your dog is NOT normal.  The yahoo group TruthAboutVaccines is a great place to start for more ways to help.
