My own wildlife Sanctuary.?

I want to start my own wildlife sanctuary in a few years, on atleast 100 acres. I either want to get into: Bear, Wolf, or anything else of that sort. If you are here to tell me not to, dont answer this question. I am getting a degree in Zoology, and am going to study at some exotic animal shelters. What animal should be my prime focus? The land I will buy is very secluded and in Alaska.

  1. All factors being equal, I would focus on the animal which is in the most need of sanctuary.  For example, if Polar Bears are in dire need of rescue, that might be a good choice.  If the Grizzly Bear is on the verge of extinction, that would be a good choice.

  2. You didn't ask a question, you issued a challenge. Are you looking for an argument?

What do you hope to accomplish by doing this? Are you planning to create a sanctuary for injured or abused animals, a refuge for abandoned exotics that can't be returned to the wild, or will this be a private sanctuary for your own study?
