Question:

My parakeet's voice sounds odd?

I've owned my 3 parakeets for a year and a half or so. I've heard them chirp and what not, but one of my parakeet's does not seem to talk at all today and when he tries to its as if his voice is muffled. It didn't sound normal from his usual soft noises, and I'm wondering if he's ok? Should I take him to the vet?

Thanks!

  1. you should definetly bring him to the vet especially if he is displaying any other odd behaviors. he could have a cold or something.

  2. maybe he has a seed or a feather stuck in his nostril.....i really dont know, that is odd.

  3. even if nothing is wrong with your parakeet(s) you should still take 'em to the vet just to be safe

  4. he could have something stuck in his throat, or he could of worn out his voice, I've herd of that happening, I suggest if it doens't clear up in a few days then take him to a vet as it could be serious.
