She is 13 years old. Every time I touch it, she winces. It's soft on the outside, and bony if you press it. What if it's a tumor.

  1. You won't know until you take it to the veternariam.  It might be an infected wing feather follicle (or whatever it's called)  Go the vet for antibotics I think.

  2. She could have gotten hurt, but nobody knows for sure. Unless you go see the vet.

  3. I know you're afraid for your little girl but it's important that you have her seen by an avian vet.  You've obviously taken excellent care of her since she's now 13 years old and I'm sure you don't want her to hurt.

She *may* have a tumor but she may not.  It could be an ingrown feather or a cyst.  Even if it is a tumor, it may be possible to just remove it and let her continue on with the rest of her life.  Not ever tumor leads to a shortened or compromised life.

Good luck with your bird.  I hope you'll receive good news and let us know.
