  1. you are better off asking an avian vet. it's very common knowledge that females lay infertile eggs thus you need to watch for egg binding. it requires quick action and medical attention. it kills them very quickly and they suffer quite a bit. pretty sure she is egg bound. birds are not able to be "pregnant" as humans do. your avian vet can take care of this egg if you allow him enough time to save her. he/she can also give you lots of basic information on bird health/signs of illness so you can become more educated and aware of potential problems for your bird. you may also seek out books on the breed of bird you have at the library for free. i have all male birds now because i had way too many problems with females. egg binding killed one of my little girls at a year and a half and then 4 months later my other female with a hormone imbalance passed away. they both had horrible deaths and they did see my avian vets ( i have two ). sometimes it happens that way. hope something works for you.

  2. if she has been laying egss recently it coud be egg binding, if this is the case, hold her and apply oil to her vent and keep her in a hospital cage with a heat lmap, if this fails to work have the bird chest high in warm water, if the egg deosnt pass threw to the vet she geos!

on the other hand if shes a regular bredding bird then this could be a tumor

  3. She needs to see a vet, it sounds like she may have something seriously wrong with her.

  4. Since she is still laying eggs, she may be pregnant. But i am not that sure as her partner, as said, died long ago, so i suggest you take her to the vet for a check up to make sure nothing's wrong and everything's fine.

Remember to ask the vet for advises no matter what the results are so you would know what's happening.

  5. If you want to be safe about it take her to the vet, it could be a tumor, and those can get dangerous, is it  higher or lower? it could be a burn swollen if she ate to hot food.i think that if she was pregnant you would have noticed before when she layed eggs that there was a bump  there. Feel it gently, if its hard it could be an egg if its gushy it could be swollen skin.
