My parakeet laid an egg?

Question

I have 4 parakeets...2 males and 2 females.for the past month or so my female zoey has been in her nesting box a lot. i read that the birds should be separated 1 pair in each cage soo i did that . The one boy and zoey were together but had no interest in eachother( atleast not when i was around) . The next day i put all of the birds back together b/c it did nothing. the next day zoey laid an egg. My question is is it a fertile egg? she did lay another yesterday too. will she get mad if i take the egg out to candle it after one week?

Only time will tell if it was fertilized.  It sounds to me like it wasn't, but in time the male and female may become interested in each other.

its hard to tell u have to c if they bond with each other. some times a male and female can be friendly and never trully mate because they are not bonded. watch to c who is with who the most then keep those 2 together in the same cage to make a breeding pair and the other 2 might never mate. birds are complicated animals.
