  1. take it to a vet, if you have other budgies put them in a separate cage, if the mother is aggressive, put the eggs in a incubator, cause she can crush the eggs.

some mothers will attack their young

  2. There is no need to take it to a vet. That would be kinda useless. You will know if the parents are mad because they will bite you if you mess with the babies. Leave them alone and they will raise them on their own, provided the eggs are really fertile.

At this point you won't tame the parents. If you want a tame one keep one of the babies.

The only part you play in this really is to give them the best diet possible, especially while they are feeding the babies. Provide a form of calcium (cuttle bone, mineral block) for Mom since laying eggs will use up a lot of calcium. Also provde a varied diet. Corn, green leafy lettuce, a good parakeet seed mix, whole wheat bread, Cherrios, cooked egg yolks, are all good for keets. The babies will like it too.

  3. you'll want to get it checked before anything, if the bird screeches, it's warning you to stay away from the eggs, and DO NOT touch the baby parakeets if they areless than 4-6 weeks old.

  4. So you stated parents so I'm guessing their fertilized...

First thing you need to do is get a nesting box....carefully remove the parents from the cage for a few minutes, put the nesting box in the cage and GENTLY place the eggs in the nesting box.

Then reintroduce the parents into the cage.

Once the babies hatch you'll need to handfeed them if you want them to be tame and get socialized. You can pick up the supplies at any pet store that deals with birds.

I'd suggest going on Petco.com and buying a book about handfeeding because if you don't know what you're doing you can cause the babies to aspirate the food and they will get pneumonia which usually always is fatal. (The signs of it are so hard to realize before its too late.)

  5. oh youll know when a bird is mad at you, dont worry. if the parents arent tame now they wont be for a while. birds are very protective when it comes to taking care of their young. until the babes are grown up and out of the cage taming the parents probably wont be very easy. when my lovebirds have babies, the mom wont leave the cage for more than five minits, just to strech her wings. usually shes out for about an hour or so. I would say just to let the parents take care of the babies themselves. If you really want the babies to be tamed or handfed make sure you do LOTS of research, but its a really risky job if you dont know what your doing. We hadnt had any expirience with handfeeding baby birds when our lovebirds first had eggs but we did hours and hours of research and now have all 5 of the babies that lived. there all grown up and healthy now too. if the bird isnt tame i dought it will let you touch the babies. Our adult ones arent tame in the sence that theyll sit on your finger or let you pet them but they trust us and will sit on our heads or shoulders and they did let us take out and feed the babies.  i dont know much about parakeets but im pretty sure that a lot of things go the same for most birds.
