  1. Sounds like you might have a young bird molting for the first time in summer's warmer weather. Quite normal.

Moltintg means the old feather's are being pushed out by new feather's growing in.

Where you might see no long feather showing, the new on will grown in soon. reason the feather's aren't as full now.

  2. I don't know how old this bird is but birds are known to change colors, sometimes, and even their feathers will thin out until the new ones grow in, I believe it's just a part of moulting, not to worry.

  3. 1st he is molting. Every bird does this, it is normal. At around a year or two a bird's old feathers are pushed out and new ones grow in. Maybe your bird is just getting his adult feathers.

2nd He might be getting older and therefor his feathers are turning grey.

3rd maybe he has a poor diet. Birds diet should include 40% pellets, 40% fruits/veggies and less than 20%on seeds. Seeds should only be given as treats. An all seed diet is bad and so is an all pellet or all veggie/fruit diet.

If you have any doubts take him to an avain vet near you.

    Have a great day =)
