  1. maybe you dont have enought perches, maybe they are bored, or you should get them a bigger cage.

  2. They do that to file their beaks down and eat the hard slivers to help digest their food. Get them a cuttlebone, it's a white chalky rock you attach to the side of the cage inside. You can buy them at any pet store. Then they'll eat that more and not their stick as much.

  3. they are probably bored or if you got two. i would say get the wood nest so they can dig in ther or get them something called "mints" i think. its a treat on a stick. try it out and they will probably stop

  4. do you have one of them cuddle bones in the cage for them to chew on? if you do and they still do it then it really isnt no big deal. my mom has 4 parakeets and they have the cuddle bone and still chew everything.

  5. do you have something they can sharpen their beak or teeth? Because that is what they want to do.

    i hope this helps!

  6. you may need a bigger cage ....do you have enough toys for them.... they may be bored.....

  7. it is sharpening its beak. A larger cage would be better but it has nothing to do with the perch.(stick)
