My parents are going away for 5 weeks overseas! I'm going to be all alone!

Question

I cant go with them overseas and they are going for 5 weeks, I'll be all alone at home without them for the first time.

I'm kind of worried and at the same time, I'm sad because me and my parents get along reeally well and to see them go for quite a long time is kind of sad because I'll miss em!

I was just wondering if you have any tips or advice to help me cope for the next 5 weeks??

Wow. You are so lucky. The longest i been home alone was a week. 5 weeks would be great. See if some friends can stay over

Ask them to call you, email you or mail letters describing their trip to you. Give them some money to buy a cool souvenir for you or your gf.

Make sure they leave you an emergency contact number of a family member of friend in the area to call just in case you need some type of help. Ask them to leave your health insurance card if you need it in an emergency.

Make sure they leave enough money for you to buy groceries when you need more food.

Make responsible choices when they are gone and when they come back they might trust you with things like staying out later with your friends or trusting you more in general.

Do not take advantage of the freedom by doing a dumb thing like having an out of control party at your house. The neighbors would report such to police and life would be bad when your parents return home to know you did such.

Awe, 5 weeks! That's tough! To keep you busy, go to the movies, hang out with friends, make funny You tube videos. call them every morning just to say hi, at night to say good night, or just call them in the middle of the day to see how they are doing & if they don't have service on their phones, just invite a couple friends over to do stuff. Do things you like to do to keep you occupied. =]
