I should have been going into my second year of college and because of the financial difficulties that my parents are having I had to pull out.

They go by what he made last year, and not this year! Does anyone out there have any ideas or references to sources where I can get that information? I would appreciate any help.

  1. Financial aid is based on your and your parents income, not debt.  Make sure you fill out the faffs on time (in Feb/march) each year.

When people file bankruptcy this does not necessarily mean the income has changed so you might not have much of an argument, but if your dad or mother were laid off from their job unwillingly or your family had high medical bills you had to pay, you might have a chance.  Contact your schools fin aid office to see if they can help you.

  2. DON NOT SPEND MORE THAN YOU MAKE WILL AVOID BANK PROBLEMS.   HAVE YOU TRIED A JOB?????????????

  3. First, you need to make sure you filled out your fafsa.

Second, talk to your financial aid office to see if they have any kind of special conditions application. This way they can take that all into consideration and may be able to help you out.
