My parents are making me go on holiday with them what can i do?

my parents are making me go on holiday with them and thats when me and my girlfriend have been going out a year, we said we would go out for a meal or something like that and its really upsetting me and my girlfriend how can i get out of going because I've told them and they have said i cant stay at home?

1.  Get over yourself.  The world doesn't revolve around what YOU want.

2.  Go.

3.  Enjoy the trip.  (Not hard, if you do #1 first.)

I used to try to get out of family vacations all the time . My parents felt like I was betraying them and the family, like I didn't want to be a part of it anymore. I've learned to suck it up and go, you might enjoy yourself. If you go expecting to be miserable you will be. Just plan something extra special with your girlfriend for when you get back, if she loves you enough to be with you for a year she will understand.

Its not the end of the world ... you're not leaving forever ... its just a holiday! You've been going out a year so your relationship is established ... she'll be there when you get back ...
