My parents recently bought a brand new home... we were really excited to have purchased a home. The only problem is that it hasn't been a year and the house is literary falling apart. The bathroom tiles are breaking, the plumbing is horrible because just today when we arrived home, we found a huge puddle of water coming from the sink. apparently one of the pipes broke. Not to mention I think there is something wrong with the electricity because I heard a unusual zap.. we already contacted the owners of the house but we have not received a call regarding the situation. We need help please. we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

  1. Take off and nuke the place for morbid, it's the only way to be sure.

  2. If it really is a brand new home, it should be covered by some sort of builders guarantee.  Your parents need to find a good lawyer.  They should also have the house thoroughly checked for any other hidden problems.

  3. move out, let it go back to Foreclosure, that is what we did...

  4. keep trying to contact the people they bought it from. in the meantime call a lawyer-your parents might even have one already, or someone who goes over the house contracts with them. there has to be a clause in the contract that protects them from all that damage.

  5. Sounds like you need to be part of a reality show called "Home Apart"

Come on you wussies!  Get to work and make the home work for you!  Get into some work clothes and get down and DIRTY!!   Tear stuff up and learn how it feels in the ole homesteadin'days!   I am a woman and I know about buildin' and real dirt!   git to that there home depot!
