My parents died last year. How can I find out if they had any insurance policys or anything. nursing home?

I have no information if they had anything. I do have their social security numbers? Is there anyone who can halp advise.

There's no central database, if that's what you're asking about.  No one collects the information, and it is private.

IF you are executor of their estate, you need to go to their bank and get copies of checks for the past five years or so, see who they've been paying; talk to their accountant, insurance agent, and attorney;  go through valuable papers, etc.

You can pay $75, and MIB will tell you which companies they've APPLIED to in the past 10 years, but if they were old, it's not likely they took out new policies in the past ten years.

MOST people do not have life insurance in force when they die.    So whatever hint it is that they have life insurance, start your search there.
